Portrait of Alex E. Daley

Hi there! I'm Alex, a multitalented, polymathic learning designer who works remotely from Charleston, SC, USA. I am open to contract and freelance work, particularly in the following industries: automotive, fashion, and healthcare.

Let's chat to see if I'd be a good fit for your company or project!

My Story

I've been telling stories since childhood: short writings about monsters eating homework, cartoons of magical horses, and videos of real-life happenings through social media. Stories are magical in their ability to entertain, teach, and remember. My passion for storytelling and learning combined with my strong analytical, communication, and multimedia skills led me to pursue a career in learning design.

Since 2014, I have worked in a variety of industries (e.g., automotive, healthcare, retail, technology) as a full-time employee, contractor, or freelancer. I got my start in learning design when a healthcare technology company hired me to write documentation and design graphics for their new Education team. I was fortunate to work alongside talented, inspiring instructional designers who taught me what successful learning looks like. My passion for learning design only grew from there, and I committed to pursing this career.

Currently, I'm working on my Master's in Instructional Systems and Learning Technologies through Florida State University and working as a Learning Designer for a large healthcare organization. In my spare time, I read A LOT of design and psychology books to expand my knowledge and attend open-learning sessions to deepen my skillset as a learning designer.

If you're looking for a multitalented learning designer who can create engaging, effective educational content, I'd love to chat. Please feel free to reach out anytime!
