Challenge
Every year, Benefitfocus hosts a conference for their customers to learn about the latest product developments and to take in-person training. Our University team was responsible for designing and building the courses offered. Little training was available about our internal employee portal, the Communication Portal, so we decided to offer beginner and advanced courses. I was tasked with designing the documentation.
Solution
I developed single-page (double-sided) job aides that provided quick information for customers to reference when using the product. I also designed writable workbooks that included in-class activities and space for writing notes.

Results
Over 1,000 customers completed this two-day instructor-led training. They were pleased with the course materials, rating an average of 4.5/5 on post-course surveys.
